The room reads the opening of the Iliad and then stops. Not a book, a page. Not a page, sometimes a line.

Μῆνιν ἄειδε, θεά, Πηληϊάδεω Ἀχιλῆος

Iliad 1.1

Wrath, a goddess asked to sing, a patronymic that already contains a father and a quarrel. The session treats the line as something to be pronounced, glossed, and argued over. If a scholion has something sharp to say about a word, it is allowed in. The philology essay in the journal is the method; this project is the same method with other people in the room.

LogoFil runs the reading. The place, for now, is Ljubljana. A photograph of the table, the book, and the marginal notes would replace the plug above. The text does not need a costume to be worth an evening.
